In Empowered Schools, You’ll Find CPS Teachers Sitting at the Table of Change
Empowered Schools are redefining how school is done. School leaders participate in a design process that utilizes innovative scheduling to support the creation of new teacher leadership roles: Multi-Classroom Leaders (MCLs)*. MCLs are talented CPS teachers who lead small teacher teams, working to improve the quality and coherence of teaching and learning among their team. Alongside their administration, MCLs work to set instructional outcomes and redefine work cultures within their schools.
